Håkan Bäckman is appointed Branch Manager for AIG in Sweden

We welcome Håkan Bäckman back to AIG as Branch Manager for AIG Sweden

A message from Fredrik Forsström, General Manager for AIG in the Nordics.

I’m pleased to welcome Håkan Bäckman back to AIG as Branch Manager for AIG Sweden, effective from the end of January 2025 subject to regulatory approval.

As Branch Manager, Håkan will take legal and leadership responsibility of the Swedish branch, including the Swedish Distribution team, and will be based at our office in Stockholm.

Håkan successfully led our Nordic Property team for a decade. Most recently, he served as the Head of Broking for WTW.

Håkan brings deep insurance expertise to this role, alongside strong relationships in the Swedish and Nordic insurance markets, and broad leadership and sales experience. He will work closely with our other Branch Managers and the Nordic distribution team to grow our business and deliver on AIG's value proposition to clients and partners , supporting AIG’s position as a high performing global financial services company.
