Report a claim

The members of AIG claims team are dedicated claims adjusters with years of experience and expertise in adjusting losses for all of our products. Our customers can expect an open dialogue, responsiveness and support through the difficult period that a loss often means, regardless of the size and type of loss.

We work closely with our colleagues around the world and have access to an extensive external network of technical experts if our clients’ losses require. To provide a fast and efficient service we kindly ask you to submit

  • Policy number
  • Copy of travel documentation/ticket
  • Description of the loss event that occurred

All costs must be supported by receipts, medical certificates or the equivalent. Theft, burglary, loss of property and robbery must be supported by a police report.

Delayed trip or baggage must be appropriately certified be the carrier, e.g. a P.I.R report. All costs must be supported by receipts, medical certificates or the equivalent.

Notification

The claims process starts when you contact your local AIG office or your broker.

Assignment

Your claim is timely assigned to a claims handler whose skills and experience match your needs.

Processing

The claims process starts shortly after your claims professional is assigned, reviewing the details and establishing relevant contacts.

Resolution

We are with you through claims resolution, whether it be through direct discussions, negotiations, or legal proceedings.
